Game design organization tip π²βοΈ
To keep different versions straight so you can return to a project easily, give files easy-to-follow names like this:
Cards (old).png
Cards v1.0.png
Cards (new).png
Cards (current).png
Cards 1.27.25.png
Cards (working ver).png
Cards v2.0.png
Cards (new)2.png

But now I use github as a document control system for my game designs, so I can just overwrite the files and re-use same names, as long as I take snapshots periodically.
And an abbreviation of the game in front of the file name is also helpful if you initiate a search across multiple locations.
So: "WiF-Rules-250127"
Issue is, when i go to 'recents' they're all just 'sketch' 'idea2' 'sketch' 'parts' haha and no context into which folder they're in.
