It happened AGAIN! Multi-millionaire hosts of 'The View' scolded Americans over their reaction to Luigi Mangione, and their audience put them in check:

Why do we watch people who have no idea what we go through? I think most people wish they had what they have, but they can't achieve that in their situations, so they dream about being like them while going on with their lives doing nothing to change the system because they don't think they can.
GOOD. We need to drown out these corporatists wherever they spew their vile propaganda. They need to understand that the American people are done buying their bullshit. Stats we have known for years are finally hitting the mainstream and there's no going back
Yet again, mainstream media exclusively focuses on WHAT happened while acting intentionally obtuse about WHY it happened. They are once again trying to set the narrative, making this about violent video games and social media, and not how people are tired of being screwed over by insurance companies
I just hope it resonates with those it needs to.. Americans collectively called out the personalities from Benny Papino & Fox News to Pod Save America & the View. The starke divide between the wealthy & the rest of us couldn't be more clear..
All the societal conditions(inflation, large swaths of the country with limited industry/job prospects, destruction of public education system, healthcare crisis) that have led to people feeling this indifferent regarding the CEOs death are only going to be exacerbated over the next 4 years.
the problem with this show for years is they only hire rich celebrities to host the show and they only talk about hot topics for about 10-15 min. The rest of the show is ads or interviews with other rich famous people.
Honestly the left wing ecosystem spends too much time cannibalizing each other and trying to be better than mainstream media. We should use the strength of the media to amplify progressive voices running in primaries, so progressive policies can actually be enacted.
The View is not left wing, but they have consistently criticized Trump and his practices. I am also considering whether spending 40 minutes reacting to the View is actually positive for the leftist movement. Leftists may not like to admit it, but they need centralist to come over to enact policies.
At least ONE was willing to admit the US is built on violence.
One thing they seem to be lost on, though, is that insurance companies CHOOSE to deny claims, etc. They could pay all claims and still make a tidy profit, but they choose to make claimants lives difficult. https://youtu.be/Lb_6m8Hf_Ts?si=EdiMyTNMQbOWZSb3&t=427
The View is definitely not left wing. Their “opinions” are talking points of Corporate Dems (corrupt) with some right wing tossed in. Also super shallow. Who even watches this show lol
I love how they're like "We're not out of touch!" and then completely miss the point that us "joyous" folks are making. Also I hate the argument that people are only reacting this way because he's attractive. It's sooooo reductive. But that's the point so we don't talk about why this happened.
It’s not just the yentas on The View; it’s the Democrats too. They just lost another election by abandoning their base for the donor class, and now they’re shedding tears for billionaires. If absolutes matter, let’s start with cops and soldiers. Priorities are clear, and it’s not the people.
And this comes as Zuckerberg is working with Trump, which in turn means yikes, guess Multimillionaires & Billionaires are hoping Trump will please them so much that it makes it really bad for all of us, especially the growing lower incomes under $50,000 or Less a Year Incomes.
Tbh, as much as I don’t like these CEOs, I doubt this society is moving left on this. We’ve seen much praise for Luigi on the internet, including from right-leaning people, though those same people voted overwhelmingly for Trump. Their misogyny/racism overrides their desire for healthcare reform
Fox News host 'forgothisfckinname" guy said yesterday that he hopes that the inmates of Luigi "will do justice on him". The guy literally wants prisoners to kill Luigi. Meanwhile the prisoners where Luigi is yelling "Free Luigi" ever since they moved him there.
The rich are who are out of touch with America. They think they own it, but I could see the people wanting to rise up to take it back as the swamp fills with more billionaires.
The business run by Thompson brought in $281 billion in revenue last year, making it the largest subsidiary of united healthcare. His $10.2 million annual pay package, including salary, bonus and stock options awards, made him one of the company’s highest-paid executives.

They just want things to go back to usual..... because they too gain from our suffering.
They are digging their graves so fast, we can barely keep up!
