Good catch XD. As far by my understanding, if you are in a small vehicle that you will have to squeeze yourself in, that's a "in."Like a car, a van or so. And if you are on a rather big vehicle where you can literally walk around, like a plane or a train, that's where you want to use "on."

English is weird with prepositions like that and the only option is to memorize them with practice and time 😭 but at least usually people will still know what you mean, even if you get those wrong
