Never feel safe that you can identify cops. The bad ones help the good ones by providing a false sense of security. Stick with your affinity group and don't do anything you hadn't previously all agreed to.
My favorite part about this post is the calling of wrangler jeans of tactical and randomly circling the other guy going "he sees it he knows". It's half potentially useful advice, half cringe random speculation that is likely to get a blue collar Normy guy jumped by overzealous punks.
The shoe thing bugs me too tbh, like yeah they look like cop sneakers, they also look like badge-less all black nonslips from shoes for crews, something that are very common with groceries store workers, and kitchen staff. They are also comfy as hell and good for walking or standing long periods.
I would say "always check people's shoes" but I'm not really conscientious on police shoes. I would think combat boots.
Anyway, I don't want to be "that person" but it would be in good mind for protestors to wear "less distinctive shoes". I also would think the police wouldn't be as obvious either.
Nothing this guy is wearing is distinctive though. Go to any Italian Sunday dinner at Grandma's and you will see like 12 guys who are dressed exactly like this guy, gold chain, backwards cap and all. This post shows most to me we need more average blue collar workers on the left.
Like yes this guy in the photo is probably a cop, that is probably a radio and wire in his pocket, those are probably handcuffs, the bracelet is probably a thin blue line thing. The rest is just how Normy people dress, not having style isn't a cop trait, work shoes aren't cop shoes
As a trans guy I saw the "vest" and just thought "Ah that dudes got a binder on." Because that's exactly where the line from compression to non-compression bits is on your back when you wear one.
Yeah that too, I'm not a trans guy and the last time I mentioned that it looked like a binder or a compression top people jumped up my ass, but cis men do wear compression tank tops these days to try and look buffer. This just looks like some guy named Vinny.
Because they're cops. They're fascist pig footsoldiers utilized by a capitalist system to protect the property of the wealthy and nothing more. Any protest with enough support is a threat to the status quo, and therefore police will do everything in their power to delegitamize it
Both of them are wearing bracelets. They often do this to identify each other in the field and is less likely to be the thin blue line. They call it the color of the day usually. counter Intelligence studies aren't just for fascists and that's why I took them.
That's not to say they probably don't support the whole thin Blue line narrative bullshit. But they always agree on. Here's the article of clothing or item we're going to wear and here's the color every protest.

Except the handcuffs and mayyyybe the vest. Those are a bit damning.
Better for a suit and tie🎵

Incite/encourage violence to give protests negative press.
Have immediate involvement for any interference, arrests, etc.
They'll look for any advantage they can to destroy from the inside.
some are disruptive, some not
take a photo..we could not do that back then
Baseball cap and thin gold chain to hide comms equipment? It’s 2025, EarPods are out of primary school by now!
Good way to identify an instigator is… they’re instigating shit! Tell them to knock it off & be prepared to say so forcefully!
