The sad (hilarious) part is that measles does not mutate like other human-disease causing viruses and can be immunized against for a lifetime. These parents are choosing free-dumb over fact-based science.
And countries such as mine (Australia) thankfully, will raise travel warnings to America and likely advice to be vaccinated pre visiting, probably more than most third world countries. Trump’s thinking kicking in…
When complications from the measles do occur, they can include ear infections, pneumonia, and encephalitis or inflammation of the brain that can lead to permanent neurologic damage and even death. On average, measles kills between one and three of every 1,000 infected children.
