It was John Roberts Supreme Court that told Trump as long as he did it in the line of his presidential duties, it was an official act therefore he is immune from prosecution or impeachment. Therefore, he is under no requirement to follow the Supreme Court as it is an official act of the President!

To be on a collision course, both objects need to be moving towards the other one. As far as I can tell, John Roberts is leading the Court out of the path of the onrushing Trump as best and fast as he can.
