I don’t even get their goal, not trying to glorify them in any way, but the og fascists at least attempted to build robust public transit and infrastructure as a sign of public investment. China does it too in the now, so why is Trump and Co hellbent on destroying projects?

Some friends of mine went to our local transportation department meeting and asked why we can't have public transit like Japan's (or literally any other developed country) and all the department said was that it was like comparing apples to oranges. Makes my blood boil just thinking about it.
