One of the 'girls' mentioned here is 24. Another is 22. Another is 21.

The mother of the 24yo is 'livid' and discusses where they would have 'discarded' these breasts. Doesn't seem to care her child is happy.

They're all referred to as 'daughters' and 'her'.

it's really horrifying the assault on the right to bodily autonomy that has been going on lately. the idea that an adult does not have exclusive say in what happens to them is completely repulsive.

in a sane world a newspaper would direct these parents to professional help.

One of the most common things that happens in my PFLAG trans families group is people gently telling worried parents new to the group "well, they're an adult" and helping redirect to supporting what the trans person actually wants/needs. Even teens have privacy/self-determination rights.

It's disgusting the intellectual depths people will stoop to. I mean, I get it, they don't agree with it (as an entire thing), but these people are adults for crying out loud. It's disingenuous to report on them as children, because that fuels an entire other (and currently irrelevant) debate. Urgh.
