In Yoshi's Woolly World, scanning the Pac-Man amiibo using the Wii U Gamepad allows the player to receive Pac-Man Yoshi - essentially a Yarn Yoshi with a color scheme based on Pac-Man's character design.

This feature is intact in the Nintendo 3DS port.
