I have no doubt that Tesla can reprogram the autopilot on any of their vehicles to autopilot you into a bridge abutment should they choose to do so. Whatever restrictions they're putting on the Chinese should apply to every automaker.

Would be interesting if Congress gave half as much of a shit about other carmakers collecting data, selling it to insurance companies, and storing it in places where hackers of all nations can retrieve it.
