I think the reason there are so many 'echo chamber' comments about BlueSky is because people have genuinely come to see twitter as a solely political platform. There are absolutely politics here, and lots of them, and some people absolutely are/were trying to build information silos, but what we didn't have here until recently were the large number of people who are why we left twitter in the first place. You know the ones

Of course there are politics here. What I meant though is this platform isn't defined by politics. It is simply a microcosm amongst many.

Some people on twitter view BlueSky as the liberal version of Truth Social – which it absolutely isn't 🤷🏻‍♂️

I do too but I'm not afraid to post about politics. I mean I did on Twitter as well. Not really afraid of expressing my beliefs at all. I know that's not what an author's supposed to do but it's what I do and if I lose readership from being me, oh well 🤷‍♂️
