I think everything is predicated on how good/ready they think JJ will be. If they want to play it safe with him, then I would anticipate a semi proven vet type. If they want to be more aggressive with his timeline, then I think they'll go cheaper/younger on the backup QB and spend more elsewhere.
I think they're in on JJ. I think shoot right in the middle and bring in a youngish vet that needs some career rehab. Something like Darnold did in San Fran.
Mac Jones is 26. Drew Lock is 28. Mariota and Jameis are 31. Heinicke and Brisset are 32. There are other options, too, but these are the guys I'd be most interested in.
