First, you didn't think the idea was factual. Now, you accept that it might be true, and if true, limited to those who may have lied about their criminal past. As if that's end of it.
You seem like you'd be okay with all of the "qualified" people Trump intends to appoint next year too.
I asked for a reference, that's not the same thing as assuming it wasn't true. The reference makes it clear that what is being discussed would only apply to people who illegally gained citizenship but this was left out of the original point raised about this which is an important distinction.
The article was from 2018 and a lot has changed since then. The current Trump is MUCH worse and it would be a mistake to assume criminals is where this administration would stop deportations
