Most wire you see in the air is aluminum, some smaller gages would have a steel core. Almost all hardware is steel. The work takes time, especially if it’s near other live circuits. The utilities will pass the cost of building updated infrastructure to the end users, residential and commercial.

Could see substation TX’s being a supply crunch as they are not always one size fits all. On the distribution side, we generally have a bunch of inventory at the yard if one goes. If we don’t have like-for-like size in stock just go up one size. Saw more material supply issues during covid then now
