I often worry that my engaging with cool creators and signal boosting them comes off as disingenuous. I assuage this self-doubt by going.. "hey, virtue-signalling isn't a thing. you're invested in these topics and admire these people genuinely"

and then i smile and hit "Post" and the cycle renews
