I understand. My son overslept yesterday and missed picking up the kids for three hours meaning we lost the coin toss. Instead of making the dinner we wanted, I made Mexicali chicken for him. Now I have three freaking pounds of it left over. Chicken tacos twice a day every day. Phooey.
Can relate. Spent a while looking at aerial google images of a small ranch in central Texas where I spent 40 Christmas eves to celebrate with dozens of family members that I probably won't ever see again. Ranch and most of the family members.
Holidays seem built for nostalgia. I hope we can all write down the moments of our childhood and the stories and legacies of our family that came before us so none of it is lost.
Can’t reply to your other thread where you asked for Mumbai recommendations, so here’s a few: Juhu beach, marine drive, stay in Bandra West. Eau Bar at The Oberoi was fantastic for cocktails and ambiance! Enjoy, stay safe and pack Azithromycin and be cautious of ice in your drinks!
