Air quality monitoring and clear and easy to read info about air quality is crucial for people (especially vulnerable ppl) to be able to protect themselves. We should have these readings (along w CO2) in every public space. And for god’s sake wear a respirator and stop contaminating the air!
It’s great that it also shows outdoor air quality (yikes!) because it shows how much of a difference the filtration is doing. In this case 52% reduction of PM2.5, good but not amazing.
It’s starting with Mumbai air though. Thousands die just from air pollution each year there, and that’s direct, much more secondary and shortened lives.
Agreed! Although, engineers at Harvard are developing a new indoor air quality sensor inspired by a dog’s nose to be more accurate and specific than existing products…and they’re using National Science Foundation funding to do it.
No, those are not mutually exclusive and environmental regulations don’t do shit for airborne pathogens. Wear a mask! And fight for easy to read air quality info in all public spaces 😷

Mumbai is generally not bad, but Delhi can feel like you're hotboxing a housefire
It's really disturbing.
