I am horrified by the heinous attack on community members who gather weekly to advocate for the release of October 7th hostages. No one should fear for their safety when speaking out against injustice. We must denounce and root out antisemitic violence like this at every turn.

I’m writing to document and condemn the systemic abuse and neglect at Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA). CEO Chris Palmieri resigned after widespread harm; but took a $2.5M “success fee” with him. That wasn’t accountability. It was a ransom.
This wasn’t just a clinical collapse. It was a breach of fiscal responsibility. Executives lined their pockets while members lived in chaos. trapped in a labyrinth of denial, neglect, and abandonment. Medications unfilled. Primary care and support, nonexistent.
While members went without care, the executive team prospered. Icelandic retreats and bloated salaries flourished under a false banner of “integrated care.” Meanwhile, patients were left to deteriorate—physically, psychologically, and economically.
Palmieri is gone, but the abusive hierarchy he built is still in power. Department heads, grievance managers, clinical directors—they’re all still at CCA. These are the same people who carried out his vision of cruelty and systemic neglect.
These executives didn’t just look away—they enforced abuse. They funneled valid complaints into psychiatric channels, falsified medical records, blocked care, and branded vulnerable members as unstable in order to silence dissent.
Why are they still employed? Why are they collecting six-figure salaries at a public option plan funded by state and federal dollars? Where is the review of their licenses, their oversight, their accountability?
