I imagine your town, like the one I grew up in, has a lot of ingrained cultural bs to get over in addition to the actual logistical difficulties. I got made fun of for my “rice burner” (as the racists say) & it was an all steel gas engine car. Imagine the shock and horror if it’d been electric, too.

Cap on election financing. If a politicians can't win with $100,000 then they shouldn't be elected.
We can have politicians compete in game shows, that way we can get to know them really well. See how they handle public questioning. Jeopardy for the candidates. People would watch that!

We finally have a working alternative to dirty fossil fuels and because of Big Oil manipulation, negative EV propaganda, the American people aren't willing make the switch.
We have the solution to clean up our environment and we don't want to use it. F****** heartbreaking.

Yes, that’s one alternative, which should be introduced well (years) before people consider challenging oil companies on a national level. There’s so much financial and mechanical and sociological infrastructure that needs to be adjusted before protesting the oil companies could be a viable idea.
