This was a great podcast and excellent explanation of what is happening and the law! Can’t see how “we’re going in a different direction“
Can mean anything other then we’re not actually interested in how we spend the tax payers money or follow the law anymore! We are in the deep end now folks!
Messages have gone to my Congress and Senate officials. It was great to have the info that most of the confirmed IGs were released. Bury them with facts, bury them with comments from voters
Well, I would write my senator - Rand Paul - but it would be a huge waste of time since his former staffer Sergio Gor was the person who wrote the IGs letting them know they were fired.
It's not about immediate impact it's about volume. Definitely write. Both of my Senators are Republican and one is a psycho Trumper. It's still bury them in comments.
It should matter with respect to enforcement. His immunity doesn't or should not give him cart blanch to do anything. It should mean he just won't be prosecuted for it. An illegal order is still illegal regardless of who makes the order.
He can’t be prosecuted, but can the people implementing his orders be prosecuted for doing illegal things? Will he pardon everyone who does what he commands? Or will he leave people hanging out to dry?
I think we'll have to wait 4 years and for a hopefully energetic AG to see if anything happens criminally, because law and order won't exist till then.
But they could sue and possibly get reinstated.
Congress and the American People are like the boiled frog or the baffled with bull shit crowd...we are all overwhelmed with the sheer volume of shit coming at all of us. YET THE REALITY is that Congress are professionals WHO SHOULD BE ABLE TO EFFECTIVELY COMBAT THIS SHIT BUT AREN'T!!!
So, will there be substantial pushback?? Everytime something like this happens there could be pushback - to the point that the Supreme Court gets might tired of it. Maybe . . .
