When I told my wife of this, she said - I'm OK, I got a real ID DL and a valid pass port, I'm good.

I told her, depending on the 'final' rules, if they include birth certificates to match those,

Yes. Would take a court order to change back to maiden. I'm a former registrar in NJ, people keep saying to change your BC. No !! The BC reflects given name at birth. An adoption is an exception, a new BC is issued (or was, I've been long gone from the field.)

States set their own voting regulations. Laws passed in Congress uphold that. The Executive branch has 'bupkis' influence--unless dishonest officials allow it. Doesn't matter how many Sharpie fumes Donnie inhales. Keep DOGE out of our voting registration! No purging-no making it efficient.
