It’s not helpful if one or a couple people do it, but if a lot of people do it and the phones don’t stop and it’s overwhelming the offices- it lets them know this time is different. Esp the leaders of commitees. And the leaders.
Staffers told you this or you assume? Because if they throw out everything from folks who are not their constituents that just gums up the lines for those who are.
I live in Capitol Hill. Some staffers say yes, some say no. This is a crisis. It was talked about all over the hill a day 2 weeks ago the Capitol switchboard averaged 1600 phone calls an hour rather than the norm (40 calls per hour).
