The winter fuel allowance was put in place during covid to help out. It was never going to be permanent. Most ‘people who will die’ won’t have lost theirs. Those who have enough, will.

I'm not sure it's fair at such a low level, believe it should be tapered to suit local temperatures, the differences between the warmes & coldest parts of the country differ bt double figures on the celsius scale.
