how does one go about making change from a place of self-love? i want to look differently, but it feels driven by negativity towards how i look now. does that mean that accepting myself now is the answer? hmmmmm…… *ponders*

I'm working on myself because I want to feel better. It's not about hating what I am now, it's about acknowledging where I'm at, and celebrating the progress I make along the way.
celebrating the progress feels like such a key element i’ve been missing. comparing where i’m at to the idealized & impossible goal in my head always leaves me feeling like my progress means nothing. i appreciate your input ❤️
No problem! Something I've struggled with is tracking weight loss, and then getting frustrated at how easily it fluctuates. The progress I look for now isn't 'what is my weight?' it's 'how easily can I do the thing I'm doing? Can I do more?' That's helped me a lot.
