Today my institution, in an Orwellian "Digital Content Refresh," deleted social media posts celebrating Olenda Johnson, the first black woman to become a professor at the Army and Naval War Colleges, among other content that had anything to do with gender, race, etc.

Most of the removed content did not advance "DEI" initiatives unless recognizing non-white men or speaking about race, gender, etc is automatically/
I'm leaving this institution so I don't care what its leadership thinks of me. I have fantastic colleagues who also agree that this is shameful and racist, and I'm disappointed that the administration would throw its women and non-white faculty under the bus so easily.
But there were about 15 videos and taken down
