I get both sides of it. I get those who wanted everyone to leave, tho personally, eventually they were going to find someone to do it. On the other side is the human side, that this is people's livelihoods. I've been on that side of it, and it isn't easy to suddenly lose your job.

NY is one of the few states that don’t have recall unfortunately. The Governor or state supreme court (I’m assuming the NY court of appeals which is the highest court in NY, but I’m not sure) can remove him though

1/ Who knows what they can achieve by staying in place. Ultimately, the case will be presented as, "I have been instructed to say ...". A judge will have to decide whether to allow a case already endorsed by prosecutors to be withdrawn. He did the right thing.
