They’d have to pitch Wong Kim Ark from 1898, all its progeny, and ignore the plain language of the amendment. There is a limit to how hypocritical the Court will be. They stand to lose big if they overrule Wong Kim Ark-they could undermine the whole idea of in personam jurisdiction.

Agree, but this one is tough. It is literally written word for word in the constitution. If SCOTUS allows him to do this, it will prove beyond doubt that they are corrupt. (We already know they are).

when Trump's attorneys claimed in federal court that yes, Trump could legally order Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival nearly every legal scholar-liberal & conservative alike-laughed and/or denigrated the idea. Then, SCOTUS said yes, he could do that legally as an official act.
