I always get to the end of the year and can never remember what films films 🍿 I’ve seen so going to start a thread of all the movies 🎥 I watch in 2025 (mostly at home because of good old caring responsibilities)

The cinematography is extraordinary & the world building incredible. Even more so than the first film.
Also felt like a coming out party for the next generation of superstars in Chalamet, Zendeya and, especially, Austin Butler
Would have been my film of 2024 had I seen it earlier
Since I got onto Letterboxd, my film-watching has increased dramatically (and time on other social media has decreasing). I find it leads me to watch films that I’d never considered or knew about. The stats are great too!

Strong memories of my dad laughing so much watching this that he had to leave the room because he was going to be sick
It didn’t get to that point tonight but I very much enjoyed watching this with my kids
Turns out knowing which jokes are coming only makes them funnier
Started out slow and they played it too straight for too long
But was a lot of fun once it got going and Pitt & Clooney were as good value as ever
Good news!
Tenet is no longer my least favourite Christopher Nolan film
A very flawed documentary about a very special band
You’d naturally expect it to be lo-fi & rough around the edges but this was trying too hard to tell Mark Linkous’s story in an arty way
Still points for managing to have both Matthew Wright & David Lynch as talking heads
Gripping. Tense. Terrifying
And yet somehow less of a gut punch than watching the news today
Seemed like it was just another app to have whereas I’m already on BS all the time so seemed easier to have it here
