I downloaded NTSB accident databases to look for this and was unsuccessful. (Did you know the NTSB downloads are… Microsoft Access database files!?)

May 29, 1974: an LAPD helicopter crashed near Kagel Canyon during a training exercise, killing Commander Paul Gillen. Competing wild claims were made by the SLA at the time & by Mike Davis in City of Quartz...yet I CAN'T FIND an NTSB report for this high profile crash. Can anyone dig it up? 🧵
