every person I know who’s worked for USAID is so proud to represent the U.S. in their roles. this would be a shitty way to treat them if they all HAD been fired for cause, but instead they’re being treated this way because a group of unelected thugs has seized control of the federal government

Yesterday, USAID staff in DC were told that they could return to the Ronald Reagan building to retrieve their personal belongings only today and Friday, by one-hour increments, 15mn per person, and weren’t provided with any packing or holding materials. The point is to humiliate.
