Sure. But a lot of people knew & it was hard for them to vote. In every recent election except 2020, when mail-in voting was more available, the # of people who didn’t vote was greater than the # who voted for either candidate. Some of those people are apathetic but some are disenfranchised

As an outsider looking in, there's a lot of effort put into making it hard to vote in the USA.

Also, the sheer volume of shit you folks have to vote on is exhausting.

I think gerrymandering and voter suppression have done untold amounts of damage to the US, and any talk about the American electorate letting the world down has to at least acknowledge that fact underpins that assumption.
