I voted. Did you, Ontario? If our voter turnout is less than 50% again, we all deserve whatever we get! Democracy is literally under threat right now, so if you haven’t already exercised your right to vote, do it before the polls close!

Would love to know why people don’t vote. I did meet a very very busy Ethiopian mother with a small cafe who had not heard about Trump’s threats. So, people can be so immersed in daily survival that they do not look up.
True enough. I expected some folks feel like they aren’t represented or listened to, so why bother? I suspect most non-voters are just lazy though! It only took me 3 minutes to vote.
Additionally, one polling location in Ottawa (a high school) has their major theater production also today, so parking will be interesting - the FB posts were obnoxious from parents asking if Election Ontario could just have polls open tomorrow instead 🤦
Offspring in Japan could not vote in this election, because Elections Ontario couldn't get a ballot for mail-in to them before the deadline for it to be received back.
I tried to talk friends with disabilities and elderly family to go early, but they were certain that they needed to wait for their voting cards (mine arrived yesterday morning)
Seniors in grandmother's building, all were flustered not knowing where to vote (I told her, and told her to tell others)

Media coverage in Northern Ontario has been nonexistent aside from mentioning debate in North Bay.
I and roommate voted in advanced polls. Because I knew I would be out of the country.
Yes, there are people who just feel like there is no point in voting. And it's frustrating as hell.
But this election is a mess beyond voter apathy.

#NEVERvoteCONservative. Even when he claims to "be a problem solver"
