The book is called Trudeau’s Record, ergo it focuses on his record.

They released a similar book called Harper’s Record a decade ago.

Welp, rent shouldn't be included under any PM's record since it's entirely the responsibility of the provinces and territories - and of course high rents increase poverty rates - but I'll keep reading

The federal government isn't directly responsible for rent prices, agreed. Provinces can and should introduce rent controls.

But, as Trudeau himself has admitted with the National Housing Strategy, the feds have a role to play in funding affordable housing providers.

They used to do it.
