Yes! There are several articles out there about this particular event, but this is the one I remember with particular fondness.

Also, the more people know about it, the more who will understand when I mutter, "Do you want bears? This is how you get bears" under my breath.

Did either of you ever read the book about that town? I won’t lie, I mostly picked it up because it was called A Libertarian Walks into a Bear, but the author was also VERY dryly hilarious, do recommend if you want a longer interlude.
