I would understand historical inaccuracy if it would look boring on film. But I saw some posts how the uniforms+helmets actually looked+they really missed an opportunity there.
I'm also a tad sceptical that they want to adapt THE WHOLE ODYSSEY. But yeah... 🤷
What do you think about casting Matt?

Well, not the WHOLE maybe. But it‘s a good adventure story with a very satisfying ending (if you believe in the whole waiting-20-years-for-someone thing). And somethings can be timeskipped with „2-years-later“ montages. Also, it‘s Nolan, so 3.5 hrs aren‘t a problem 😂

If you have the chance and are interested in the Odyssey I highly recommend the movie "The Return" with Ralph Fiennes. One of the absolute stand-outs for me from last year.
I dare say it: THIS should have been the Oscar nominated performance for Ralph Fiennes (and not Conclave which I adore, too!).

YES! Just watched the trailer (that was crap spoilering things if you don‘t know the story) but yes! This is what I meant when I heard today re-telling of the odyssee. That‘s how you tell a story! With a woman at the center and the relationships woven around her. Need to hunt this down now!

Oh, no! I would have warned you away from the trailer. But tbh... if you know the story, it's not surprising. But also... the actually story (while entertaining) is IMHO not the point of the movie. So it didn't spoiler too much. Let me know what you think when you have seen it.😊

Oh wait! I heard of that movie (and same opinions as yours as well) but never realized it was about the Odysee! Awesome! Yes, Odysee or rather Odysseus was a special interest of mine as a teen for a while. Thanks for the tip!
