These websites aren’t automatically discoverable. The internet and search engines wouldn’t miraculously function without site owners implementing SEO best practices so their content can be found. There is a whole slew of work that needs to be done that has nothing to do with spam…

…or manipulation. Many site owners accidentally push the wrong button that prevents half their sites from being discoverable in search engines at all. Without SEOs, that problem could go unnoticed for years.

We get a lot of shit as an industry for filling the Internet with spam, when the reality of the actual work we do at (legitimate) SEO agencies is the glue that holds the Internet together. Most people actually have no idea what type of work we do, and why it matters.

There will be a day when corporations will repatriate their data to on-prem servers. Shifting data to Big Tech servers was a bad call. The exposing data to the internet made cybersecurity sector profitable, which is another source of income for Big Tech.
