Control is an illusion, we can only make the best choice possible. I’m trying to learn to be content knowing I do my best to help others, that I’m open to learning how to do better, and that I choose love over fear.
You’re in good company. I’m asp grieving what might have been. We’ve got to find a way to take small steps to make a difference, even if the face of extreme darkness.
Me too. BUT-- we are here together and holding space for each other. When you're tired, pull back and rest - we'll take the watch for you. When you're rested, engage again. We're in this together for the long haul. 💗
It is and you should. America will never be the same again, not in our lifetime anyway. They won every single thing they needed to win. And no way are they letting go of this power easily. The insurrection will look like a pantomime in comparison to the destruction of democracy/voting going forward
Anyone who deeply loves this country is feeling this. Our anger is what can makes changes. But you have to take good care of yourself and surround yourself with friends who love you. Express yourself to those who understand.
When you feel overwhelmed step back and go find something else to do. They are trying to wear us down. Just find something that makes you happy for awhile. Walk outside, play with the cat or dog or someone else's cat or dog, call a friend, watch a movie, but don't give them what they want.
