Of curse! -> not only are they being told they don't have to feel guilty about their hatred, they're learning that their hatred has God's sanction, and they're learning to revel in it.

There is already lots of hate for immigrants, minorities, women, queer folks in America, but man do people get excited when they think that God told them to hate via the church.
