It's Customary in Asia to mask up when you acquire a cold. Flu. Sore Throat. So that you won't infect your family friends work colleagues travelling public.
Westerners should learn from them. But the shear arrogance of Caucasians astounded me. Mask

Same. And taking simple precautions like handwashing. One year (pre-COVID) my daughter had the flu 3 different time with 3 different strains: 2 HN and one H. I never got it.I was very careful.

I didn't get COVID til Mar 24, when I ran to the store w/o a mask.😒

You have to say, though that it's been a very long time since Covid deaths have been accurately diagnosed and counted. But yes, flu is terrible right now.
