When we read books, we get exposed to new ideas and have a chance to consider them, possibly accepting them into our experiences, possibly changing our lives. Or, at least, offering insight to what, how, and why other people think, giving us the chance to find common ground.

Then, take a moment to think for yourself. Even if you don't know why it was posted or if it were true, ask yourself, is that really what you want to think?
Is that really what you want the world around you, around us to be like?
If it is, may I strongly suggest you take a social media break and go read a book?
I have met people who feel "entertainment" is a waste of time, and I understand their point of view. But I disagree. Entertainment is how we learn and experience new things without having the firsthand experiences ourselves.
