#MWE 19: Akofa Akoussah by Akofa Akoussah. The mix of funk, jazz, 60's pop and Ewe music is simultaneously very energetic and wonderful background music. Akoussah's voice is fantastic, and the record packs so many ideas into less than 30 minutes that it's remarkable.

#MWE 23: Watch Your Life by Itadi. The slower tracks lose me, but when it's more up-tempo this has real groove and an almost effortless sense of cool, as the best funk should. Slightly undermined by some odd vocal choices at points, but overall I really enjoyed this.
