This is awesome, and I love to see it, but I REALLY have to wonder how many of these protesters stayed home on election day, wasted their vote on a "Third Party" clown, cast a "protest vote" for Mickey Mouse, or, worst of all, foolishly voted for Trump. πŸ€”

13 million votes either not cast or not counted
Approx. 44M eligible to vote but not registered
Greg Palast asserts that sig. numbers of votes were thrown out, & voter registrations lost.

There are currently 187 million registered voters in the US. The actual "eligible electorate" is around 245 million. That is an obscene number of Americans who chose not to vote. To be quite frank, that is disgusting & unacceptable. This is why I'm wondering how many of them are out protesting now.
As of the 2024 race, the stat I could find was 168M because I was asking myself about the 245M that the media likes to quote as eligible. How many of them are actually registered? Can't vote if you're not registered. What barriers are there to voter registration. Where did you get the 187M stat?
TBH, it does not really matter how many are registered or how many are eligible. My point was that WAY too many Americans do not exercise their right to vote, and that is unacceptable.
Given the numbers we were talking about. The number of protesters doesn't even make up the difference between registered voters and turnout.
It actually might have made a huge difference. My main point is that many of those 5 million protesters out there today didn't vote, or threw away their votes on Stein, RFK Jr. & Oliver. NOW they want to protest Trump's ignorance & incompetence. It's too late. Election Day was the day to do that! 😑
This is one of many that says 187 million are registered:

β€œEligible” means that they are qualified to vote. Every source I’ve seen says around 245 million. There are many sources, but here’s one:

Okay, I'm going to shout at you for a sec. But it's not your fault.
WHY IS IT SO GODDAMN DIFFICULT TO FIND OUT HOW MANY REGISTERED VOTERS THERE ARE? IT'S A KNOWABLE NUMBER. THE GODDAMN SEC.S OF STATE HAVE VOTER ROLLS. WHY CANT THEY PUBLISH THE NUMBER. WHY IS STATISTA THE ONLY SOURCE!!! deep breath
ND does not require registration and several states have same-day registration.

Eac contacts every state to get the value but it takes a while to composite

Isome states keep it by County rather than consolidating it into a statewide system

It is not a priority immediately after the election
Thank you, but the number I was trying to find. Which should be accessible, is the number of registered voters in 2024.
I don't think it's the case that there was not enough turn-out, but there is a problem with voter registration. People who are not registered cannot vote. Republicans are making it even harder to get registered.
Corrupt Republicans are doing everything they can do suppress the vote. TBH - Cheating is the only way they can win.
No body on my protest corner did.
