HxH holds up incredibly well. The patience Togashi has to not blow his load every 3 episodes for a big reveal is what I miss from old shonen/anime. It really feels like they thoroughly thought out a lot of things.

Even Bleach took its time with SS/Arrancar Saga and it really pays off imo
