Zeppelins have a rigid frame. Blimps are pressure filled with gas.

ok, I read a bunch of sites and the only thing I could find about the functional differences is that the zeppelin's rigid structure makes it "suitable for longer trips in a wider variety of weather conditions" than blimps

There actually was on in the Bay Area for a while but I never got a chance to ride it before the company leasing it closed down in 2012. I'm with you - there should be a bunch of them. Seems like a fun way to see a place!

In a world with zeppelins, it would be extra cool if there were zeppelin nomadic tribes, like clusters of zeppelins connected via rope bridges and vagabonding and temporarily anchoring around the globe.
