Loved ur writing. bought ur books, even a signed one. was a fan of ur writing & thinking. U seemed 2 always keep a level head & 2 know 2 question bs vs. lies. We can try to leave things better off than when we got here, is the best that we can do. It's just a shame that there's so many systems and so much *pointless pride* working against any of that, not to mention the bastardry.

My grandfather was a lead miner from Leadwood, Missouri. At his house was a basketball-sized piece of galena. I used to love to try to lift it as I was growing up. Thanks for this beautiful essay.
