Men who are worried about diversity hires need to accept they're being passed over for people who work harder, study smarter, and have to put up with genuine adversity and bias.

The solution for those men is to be exceptional.

It comes down to this idea that a man is a merit hire, and a woman is a DEI hire. The deeply ingrained bias that tells society that merit hangs on a penis and cannot exist where there is no penis.
And as long as there are people and politicians with that bias, DEI continues to have a place.

Australia doesn't have DEI programs to the extent of USA. Public service has selection criteria that has to be addressed to be considered for interview and this criteria is then covered when being interviewed. This means male or female same questions, same assessment, best person gets the job.
