Those of us old enough to remember him making it his personal mission to discredit and destroy a female member of the Atheist community who accused a male member of sexual harassment will be deeply, deeply unsurprised by this.
She didn't even say anything radical. She just said that hitting on a woman in an elevator is a bad idea because it makes women feel trapped and uncomfortable. Which is obvious to anyone who isn't a complete fucking idiot.
I think he was someone who really benefited by having a wall of editors and agents between him and the public, which is why he was able to build his "I'm a warrior for Reason!" mystique before the internet gave him a more direct conduit to the public and it turned out he was just a withered bigot.
