if you have an extra desk lamp or something, you could try using that. i did that back in my beginner days. it could let you know if it needs more light.
i think that's perfect! you could start at ~60% brightness and go from there. btw random question, if your primary growing area is a basement, have you considered fungi?
i think that'll do just fine! so what i would do is rotate the plant so that the leaves are kind of perpendicular to the light and then observe over the next few days to see if the leaves turn to face toward the light.
i have not but also i am not very good with fungus patterns (trypophobia). but also i can grow stuff outdoors, just this plant was not having the best time out there
the tomato i posted the other day (which i still owe you a full picture of) is outdoors and LOVES it, and we had peppers a few years back that also had a great time. if i have the energy tomorrow i'm going to try planting some even though it's late this year
