This is NGC 4631 (Whale Galaxy), an edge-on barred galaxy roughly 30 million light-years distant. The image represents a 7.8-hour exposure over two nights from my backyard (4/11/2024). NGC 4631 has a nearby companion, dwarf elliptical galaxy NGC 4627
