Personally I think someone’s transness is very relevant when they’ve been murdered. Hate crime or not (and come on, I don’t care what the cops say, its a hate crime)

idk what to say beyond i'm really fucking sorry that you're even having to defend that this is a hate crime and that it happened because he's a trans man while reading about how horrific it all is. sending you lots of love.
read the charges of the accused shortly after the news broke, that listed what they did, and it is truly truly horrific. I cried about it then but honestly now I’m just… tired? Idk
like I’m not even angry at the ignorants, I wasn’t even angry when I posted that call out to the NYT, I’m too angry and sad about other things - it’s hard to conjure up emotions
yeah, i saw it right when you first posted it and it really did make me sick. over on twitter (yeah, i know, i shouldn't be on there anymore) i saw people arguing whether it was bc he was black or he was trans and it's like...it's literally both, holy shit.
oh my feed (I use Twitter solely as a search tool for news/news reactions) just showed me everyone misgendering him, and saying he deserves it for “invading women’s spaces” - we live in a society

Not in 2025 when many wake up each morning to find their government have stuck another needle in.
You could say the same to me who thinks his transness *is* relevant. But I think it better to err toward recognition rather than erasure, personally.
“Actually I don’t think his identity is important”
Look at yourself, honestly.
cos its all… normal state of play…
